Delta Lamp Attachment No. 882 (1947)

The Delta Lamp Attachement Model No. 28-882 was a popular accessory on many Delta and Delta Homecraft tools. The No. 882 Delta Lamp Attachement consists of an 8 foot 2-wire rubber covered electric cord with plug, sockey, lamp shade, mounting bracket, adjustable support links and screws.

The shade was designed to take 15 or 25 watt lamps which furnished sufficient light for most purposes. When mounted to a saw or drill press, it could be adjusted for the best position for illuminating the work. Delta recommended frosted lamp bulbs as the most satisfactory because of minimum glare.

Delta machines for which this attachment was especially disirable had a mounting lug designed to hold the lamp in a convenient position directly above the work.

 

 

These machines included the Delta 14" Drill Press, Delta 14" Band Saw, Delta 24" Scroll Saw, Delt Super-Hi-Speed Drill Press, Delta Homecraft 11" Drill Press, Delta Homecraft 10" Band Saw, and the Delta Homecraft 16" Scroll Saw. A special bracket known as bracket S-6 was available to attach the lamp to machines which did not have the mounting lug.
