Delta Homecraft Shaper No. 43-110

Delta Homecraft ShaperThe Delta Homecraft Shaper No. 43-110 offered unlimited possibilities for making moldings on straight, internal and external curved and irregular surfaces. It enables you to cut building trim, window and door sash and other standard moldings for home repair and maintenance jobs. In addition a multitude of wood joints could be cut including the often used tongue and groove and drawer joint.

Many of the same features of construction and operation of Delta's larger productions shapers could be found on this shaper.

The basic Delta Homecraft Shaper included the No. 43-110 Shaper, complete with the No. 982 Shaper Fence, No. 43-936 5/16" Spindle, No. 43-935 1/2" Spindle, Table Insert, Starting Pin, Belt and Pulley Guard, Spindle Pulley and Wrenches.

The fence was 25 1/4" long when fully extended. It was completely adjustable front, back, and sidewise. Both sides adjust independently. The table was 15 1/2" by 18" and was finish ground for accuracy. It has a 3/8" by 3/4" groove to accommodate sliding jigs and miter gages. The heavy ribbing on the underside of the table provided added rigidity and firmness.

Interchangeable spindles were available in a 5/16" and 1/2" diameter. They run in sealed-for-life ball bearings. Conveniently located controls were accessible from the front of the shaper to raise and lower the spindle. The spindle lock was accessible on the right side. The shaper was reversible and ran at 9,000 r.p.m for smooth, clean work.

1/2 H.P. Ball-bearing Capacitor Start Motor, 3450 r.p.m., 1/2" double shaft, 6" frame complete with cord, plug, and toggle switch.

Delta Shaper reversing switch

No. 49-316 Reversing and On-Off Switch
The reversing switch was an option. Here is the reversing switch with connected 4-wire cord for any standard, split-phase or capacitor motor. The legs of the Homecraft Shaper came pre drilled for mounting the reversing switch.

Delta Shaper Motor Pulley

No. 43-803 Motor Pulley
5-3/8 motor pulley with set 2 set screws to hold it securely on the 1/2" motor shaft.

Delta Shaper Fence

No. 982 Shaper Fence features a fully adjustable fence through a single knob control - both halves of fence independently adjustable for greater safety and convenience in machine set-up.

Delta Shaper 1/2" Spindle

No. 43-935 1/2" Spindle
For 1/2" hole 3-lip shaper cutters. Interchangeable spindles, including a stub spindle for cope cuts on window and door sash, etc., permitted the use of a whole variety of cutters.

3-Lip Shaper Cutters - 1/2" Hole
A wide variety of 3-lip shaper cutters are available for the Delta Homecraft Shaper offering unlimited possibilities for making thousands of molding shapes. You could make your own screens, doors, and windows, add fancy trim to furniture, or make all types of special building or furniture trim.

The Delta 3-lip shaper cutters were made of special allow steel, hardened and tempered in oil.

Delta 34-500 Table Saw Miter Guage

No. 864 Auto-Set Miter Gage
The miter gage has a 7 inch face and a 3/8 x 3/4 x 18 inch bar which fits the table slot of circular saws and other machines. It can be set at any angle up to 60 degrees to the right or left, and it has adjustable stops for instantaneous settings at zero and 45 degrees to the right or left. It can be adjusted to compensate for wear or loosening the head by merely loosening or tightening a tapered pivot screw.

 

No. 50-810 - Steel Stand with Machine Screws, Nuts and Washers for assembly. This stand gave the operator the correct working height and a rigid base.

The Guard completely covers motor, belt and pulley offering greater operator safety. Spring hold down, ring guard and other safety items were available as accessories.

In addition to acting as an efficient hold down, the safety ring guard gives you the full protection needed when shaping curved and circular work.
 

No. 983 Spring Hold Downs
Used in conjunction with the shaper fence on straight shaping operations to firmly hold work against the fence and table.

Delta Sliding Shaper Jig No. 1186 Sliding Shaper Jig
Makes shaping of short narrow work and other horizontal shaping operations such as cutting tenons and groves easy and safe. Holds work tightly and securely, hands far removed from cutters.
