Hi,
Just purchased used Delta/Rockwell 1460 wood lathe, old style.
Pretty much complete except for tool rest and the motor. I would be very lucky to find a replacement vintage motor but likely would have the money to buy it so I am looking for some advise on the best type of new replacement motor to consider?
I understand the original motor was 1/2 hp. 1725 rpm's. Do I need a matching stepped pulley on the motor shaft? I have a smaller 6" Rockwell lathe and it seems to have matched steps.
I hope that when I attach a new motor that the Head stock is OKAY!
Thanks for your help and advise.
