Apr 16, 2017 looking for estimated value by: Anonymous I just recently received this same model shaper for my non-profit's woodworking program as part of a huge donation of his entire shop. In really good shape, works, 9 cutter heads. Any idea what it may be worth? Part of need for this is so I can give the donator a donation letter for future tax purposes. Mine was mounted on a base cabinet and the motor was then mounted to the top of that cabinet base off to the left side instead of being left attached to the shaper body itself. May 20, 2012 Parts breakdown or operator's manual by: Norman I have just been given this same shaper. I need a copy of a parts breakdown or owner's manual. It has not been used in a long time and right now it is froze up. I will gladly pay for a copy of either. Can anyone help me with this?

His wife sold all of his tools to me a couple of years ago. Does anyone happen to have a copy of the owners manual for the machine?

Feb 20, 2011 The Craftsman Shaper 101.23810 by: jim m It seems like a decent tool, you should look into keeping it, though you said you don't use it anymore. You can't find nice tools like that anymore! I just happened upon this older Craftsman Lathe and Jointer, looking to either fix the motor on the jointer or replace it though, since the tool was in a basement that got flooded in 04', but the tool itself took about an hour to get in operating condition. You can't find quality like those 50's tools had anymore. It would make a nice gift for some family member or you may want to hand it down instead of selling it off to some stranger for a few measly bucks, but its up to you, and I wouldn't sell it for less than 7-800 dollars, since it is going to be a fairly rare piece, plus the quality of it should get you even more.
