Hoping to uncover information re the tail stock, in particular whether the shaft supporting dead center is a permanent dead center. Have removed the shaft, looking towards the back end of the shaft the dead center piece appears to be a permanent part of the shaft. If this is so Does Delta provide replacement shafts which will allow for a live center or a taper shaft drill chuck?
