Craftsman Scroll Saw
Hello, my name is Brian. I'm a 25 year architectual millworker, cabinet/ furniture maker. I have owned and used for the past couple decades my Popa's old Craftsman 10" radial arm saw. I also own a 1942 Delta 8" benchsaw, and 30's or mid-40's Delta 14"double-duty bandsaw.
But just today I was able to add this Craftsman scrollsaw to my collection. I would love the opportunity to learn more about it! There appears to not be any location on the actual tool that would give evidence of a missing serial number or manufacture information plate other than the green and yellow Craftsman tools company logo stamp on the front.
On the motor it has a Kenmore brand, Sears Roebuck and Company U.S.A. plate that reads: Frame- 423, 1/4- H.P., 110- volts, 60- cycles, 5- AMPS., 1750- R.P.M., NO.- 1877358.
It still runs smooth as silk. As you can imagine, I am very excited to have it, and cannot wait to get a blade on it! But hope someone in this community has one or may have heard about them, and could lead me in the right direction to learn its date and place of birth, etc..
Thanks for all your help,
Brian
