Delta Unisaw 1947

I purchased this classic piece of machinery from a former employee of Douglas aircraft traveled from Ca. to Carson city Nevada and bought it for $150 it was an ugly light green and showed how old it was they had fabricated two plates to adapt other motors to it and it came with a vintage Atlas 1hp single phase . I replaced the Atlas because it just wouldn't cut it anymore so i installed a Harbor freight 1.5 hp on it and it works great but I placed an ad on craigslist when I first got the saw trying to find an original 115V 1hp single phase and it took a couple months but a guy named Tony who restores vintage Delta units called me and had what I was looking for and to my amazement it was a 1946 motor in almost perfect condition so we settled on a price $200 I have not yet mounted it on to the saw ( waiting for the correct belts) These table saw's in my opinion are the best saw's built to date I replaced the stock fence with a Biesmeyer home addition fence and rail system. I couldnt be more pleased with this unit and plan on keeping it til the end of my days .
