Oak Machinist Chest Craftsman

This is an old craftsman tool box, 8 drawers, green felt on metal bottoms. I have no idea how old and am trying to establish value.

Hi -- it late 40's and if it is in the low 100's, I would be interested. If it was Gerstner , it would be worth more.

9 drawer tool chest with green felt
by: mark

I have a tool chest that is much the same mine has 9 drawers with a panel that covers the front drawers and slides under the bottom drawer when not in use and the lid has locking pins to hold it in place. I have 4 lid latchs plus the lid lock. I still have the key and the lock works. Feel free to let me know what you find out. Labkiss4uandme@yahoo.com

That`s an intresting chest! and in fact the only one I`v ever seen in that type of what`s called "old style" (mission).

It`s maker was the Union Chest Works co. of Rochester NY.They built for sears and robuck some time ago.

If I could see the lock I`d have a better idea on an approx time of orgin...MC
