what is it
by: Chuck

It is a jointer. I have one just like that one that my dad gave me. It was made in the 60"s. Mine has a wooden base with it. It works, but needs to be restored a little bit.

Joiner/Planer Sears
by: Anonymous

It's a six inch jointer/planer. I have one just like it. Weighs a ton, don't it. Last time I moved it, I toted it up three steps into the building, that it is still in, LOL. that was back in my forties. Honestly I don't think I could even stat to pick that thing up now. 69 now, things change as you grow old. Imagine that. Probably has a Sears nomenclature plate on it somewhere. My dad bought this and four other Sears wood working tools about 1950. be careful if you use it. It can throw a board across the room and do serious damage to the body, before you can bat an eye. And usually when you least expect it.
