My Father bought this saw in the 30's or early 40's. It is a direct drive with the motor (2 speed) located behind and attached directly to the gearbox. The frame, head, crank down handle, etc. look exactly like the picture on this website. I can't find a model #, only the serial #. Can anyone direct me to a source to find date of mfg. and any other historical data. I have been making sawdust on this piece of equipment since about 1945. I was born in 1940 and still have all my digits.
