Golden Gear Bench Drill

I have a Golden Gear bench drill. It seems (might) it be from the post WW2 era.
It was made in Shanghai China. There is still oil paper on it from the shipping crate.
Does anyone know?

Hi guys - interesting to see your posts - I'm in Sydney, Australia and I've just picked up one of these too - it seems to be missing the primary drive handle (lower one of the two horizontal spindles it seems from Ralph's picture) but an sure I can make one up - looks like an interesting unit
